Sunsets are very special to me.  I think they are one of natures most beautiful displays and each one is unique and fascinating. 
 
 
Pioneer Basin Panorama 
I'm very lucky to live near one of the most beautiful places on earth, the Sierra Nevada Mountains.  In 1994, I backpacked to a very special place called Pioneer Basin near Mono Pass in the John Muir Wilderness.  At the North end of the basin is a ridge (11,600 foot elevation) that my friends and I climbed.  From this vista, we could see the entire basin.  (PhotoVista program used to create panorama, to see the still photo Click Here) 
 

Bryce Canyon National Park 
Bryce Canyon, located in southern Utah, is a spectacular sight to behold.  Erosion has produced intricate pillars in the soft rock that have been given the interesting name, "Hoodoos."    .
